By tightening the screw the glass reinforced plastic cone is drawn into the sleeve. This expanded the sleeve inside the drilled hole. The design of this anchor prevents the window frame being pulled against the substrate thus preventing distortion. The fischer F-S anchor requires the same size drill as the diameter as the sleeve e.g. F8 S 75 requires an 8mm drill.
